For the little doll in your life

I have a thing for capes, they always look elegant.

Put this on your holiday wish list!

A cape is fashionable in all seasons!

I sewed this with a soft magenta faux suede because it has a beautiful drape. It is lined with raspberry satin and fastens with a self-tie under the chin. For the pattern I used Samantha's Pretty Clothes free pattern that you can download here http://www.agplaythings.com/ag%20patterns/dolldresspatterns.html. I liked the scalloped collar but I also added a hood to the pattern.

Today was Senior Discount day at Joann Fabrics - oh, boy! I picked up some forest green fleece and some Christmas red fleece. More capes coming up for the holidays. Stay tuned ....

Sewing Vintage

Here is Kit trying on a muslin mock-up of a vintage 1950 pattern for a coat and hat I am planning to make out of linen. It looks pretty cute so far.
